ABOUT ME
Putting My Roots
to Work
Judge Tom Heekin's Hamilton County roots run deep.
From a young age, Tom's family, especially his father who also served as a Hamilton County Judge, fostered a dedication to public service.
That commitment is what drove Tom to attend the University of Cincinnati's Law School and work as a county prosecutor after graduating. Tom then left to begin a criminal defense private practice with his brother. There, he honed his commission to equitable justice under the law.
Tom is also proud to have been one of the individuals who helped found the Newport Aquarium, a fixture of the Greater Cincinnati culture and economy.
In June of 2016, Tom was appointed to the Common Pleas Court, and subsequently won the special election in November.
Judge Heekin lives in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Cincinnati. His sons Alec and Connor attend the University of Cincinnati and Ohio State University, respectively.
